Grab the Apple:

  • Need a family member to play against and one to run the music , 1 beanbag or grab-able object; music.

  • Sit criss-cross facing your partner, hands on knees; apple/object between you.

  • Try to grab the apple before your partner.

  • Play the music.  When the music stops, try to grab the apple before your partner.  Use only one hand.

Variations:

  • Start with hands on shoulders, on head; in push up position; playing pat-a-cake; create your own way to start.

 

Sport Challenges:

Have fun completing the challenges below. If you don't own or have some of the equipment, improvise and change the challenge.

 

Tennis:  How many times can you hit the tennis ball up off the racket (ups) in 30 secs?

 

Basketball:  How many times can you dribble the basketball in 30 secs?

 

Volleyball:  How many times can you bump the volleyball up in 30 secs?

 

Soccer:  How many ball taps can you do in 30 secs?

 

Jump Rope:  How many times can you jump the rope without missing?

 

Hula Hoop:  How long can you hula hoop without stopping?

 

Track:  How long does it take for you to run 50 yards or meters?

 

Frisbee:  How far can you throw the frisbee?
